2007 Louis Latour Pinot Noir Bourgogne
|Started pretty nice, nose was pleasant, but it quickly becomes apparent that this wine is lacking the rich flavor that a good Pinot, such as those from Burgandy like this one, typically exudes. Light and dry, with not a whole lot going on until the rather unpleasant finish. There’s definitely a little funk on the close; could be the bottle and if I get the chance I’ll try another one, especially since it was only $9.99 at Costco.|
In the end, I’ve had very few Cote D’Or bottles that I didn’t enjoy, and I was curious how this $10 bottle would hold up, but it’s not one that I can recommend (Anytime a Burgandy is prominently labeled Pinot Noir it’s a tip off). The Louis Latour Pouilly Fuisse white though, was very nice.
