2007 Feudo Arancio Nero D’Avola Sicilia
|Nero D’Avola could become for Italian wines what Malbec has become for Argentina – the staple value bottle of choice. It’s just going to take more people drinking it for it to catch hold. |
This $7.99 Nero D’Avola from Costco is a nice wine for the price, and a perfect example of the value that comes from this region.
It is a dry, light in body, but flavorful table red, perfect for everyday drinking, and versatile enough to hold up with a variety of foods. Surprising balance and finish at this price. Perfect for a midweek spaghetti night, and a certain addition to my Value Picks .
