2007 Clayhouse Adobe Red
|6 grape varieties make up this interesting red blend from California’s central coast – the wine is 44% Zinfandel, 32% Petite Sirah, 16% Syrah, 5% Malbec, 4% Grenache and 2% Mourvedre. You, like me, might be curious what that would taste like?|
Well, kind of like a big red CA blend. It has dark fruit and cherry flavors that are rather light; medium in body so it’s not too heavy in the mouth, plus the tannins are nice and soft; finish has some spice. An enjoyable bottle, that for $14.89 at Costco is not a bad deal. I’d say it’s a fun one to try if you enjoy blends.
